Good Sign-Beltran Taking Batting Practice Sitting F@cking Down

In an exclusive interview recently, Carlos Beltran of the New York Mets, told Rich Coutinho of 1050 ESPN Radio, “I’m doing good,  I come to the ballpark every single day, rehabbing, to try and put myself in the best condition, so when it comes time for me to start playing baseball I can go out there and do what I know I can do.”

Well when the fuck is that going to be shit face?

Beltran went on to say, and I shit you not, that he has been taking batting practice and playing catch while sitting in a fucking chair, in an effort to keep his eye-hand coordination as sharp as possible.

Did he just say he was sitting in a fucking chair?  That can not be good but…

Metsblog.com had this to say…

“of course he has… because he’s awesome…” Matt Cerrone commented, he went on to say…

“…i bet, even in a chair, he’s still better than some players in baseball…”

Wait a fucking second, did he just say awesome? Are you fucking kidding me? Better than who, the best guy in the wheelchair league?  What is he going to roll around in the fucking outfield?

Recently, Beltran had to talk to the Feds with Jose Reyes, because the FBI obviously found out they were both doing juice and wanted them to rat.

This motherfucker Beltran has been juicing for years… here is the previous evidence I posted…

Anyway, next thing you know, Beltran and his fuckin knees deflate and he hasn’t played baseball in two fucking years.

I am deeply concerned that at this point, Beltran is playing baseball while sitting down.  Not a good fucking sign for that rusty knee.

Mets Sign Rookie To Record Breaking Deal

Forget Stephen Strasburg or Aroldis Chapman, the Mets signed a record breaking $427 million 15 year contract on this kid…

His name is Darrell Sanford.  He is 3 months old, which will make him 15 years and 3 months old, when his contract is up.  We have no idea what position he will be playing because he has yet to walk, or speak for that matter.  Omar Minaya said he is unsure if this kid even will ever develop motor skills,  but said he remains committed to stocking the farm system with young prospects.

Sanford had this to say after the signing and receiving a check for $427 million…

Biggest pitching deal of the year is signed, sealed and delivered.

Published by D-Money under Other Baseball News

The deal is done. Roy Halladay is officially a Philly, Cliff Lee is officially a Mariner and the Mets have jack shit on a record breaking trade sending two Cy Young winners to new teams in one day.

Roy Halladay signed a 3 year extension worth $20 Million a year. He has an option for the fourth year with some crazy caveats which are: pitches 225 innings in 2013, pitches 415 innings combined in 2012 and 2013 and is not on the disabled list at the end of the 2013 season. This basically means as long as he doesn’t get hurt. He will probably be there for the extra year.

We can thank the original Cliff Lee deal for the reasoning behind why they had to get rid of him in this trade. Between this deal and getting Cliff Lee from Cleveland. The Phillies gave up a ton of good prospects. They did not want to be left without any up and comers in there farm system. If they would have kept Lee, that means they would have given up 7 out of there 10 best prospects in the last 2 years.

Not sure Jason Bay is going to cure this.

Godzilla has left the big city

Published by D-Money under Other Baseball News

Just months after being named the World Series MVP with a dominating game 8 RBI game 6. Hideki ‘Godzilla’ Matsui has signed a one-year $6.5 Million dollar contract with the heavy hitting west coast powerhouse Los Angeles Angels.

The two time all-star has been recently plagued with knee injuries keeping him off the field and in the DH spot. This is an ideal replacement for free agent slugger Vladamir Guerrero. Guerrero played in only two thirds of the season due to injury limiting his production to 15 HR’s and 50 RBI’s. Matsui hit 28 homers with 90 RBI’s finished off his last year in pinstripes.

There is currently not much news surrounding the free agency of Guerrero.

Pitching situation not looking so good for Mets

Published by D-Money under Other Baseball News

It breaking news from SI.com. Reports are saying there is a huge deal in the works for the Mets rival Philadelphia Phillies to acquire Roy Halladay in a trade that will most likely send last years phenom Cliff Lee to the Seattle Mariners. From the looks of it, this is already a done deal. Lets just wait and see how this one plays out…

Here is the article from SI.com

The Phillies are in agreement on a three-team trade with the Mariners andBlue Jaysto acquire star pitcherRoy Halladay, SI.com has learned. All indications are thatCliff Leewill likely be heading from Philadelphia to Seattle in the trade.

Sources say Halladay will agree to a contract extension to complete the deal. It’s expected to be a formality, and though terms are not yet clear, it’s expected to be worked out in the next couple days. Halladay wanted to be in Philadelphia, as the Phillies train in Clearwater, Fla., not far from his offseason home.

The Phillies are giving up prospects to Toronto to get Halladay, but it isn’t known yet which players are in the deal. Philadelphia, which would also get prospects from Seattle, is trying to keep its payroll at around $140 million.

The deal is not expected to be finalized today due to its complexity.

The Mariners have been looking for an ace, and all signs point to Lee winding up in Seattle. One loser here is the Angels, who were interested in both Lackey and Halladay and missed out on both of them, with Lackey closing in on a deal with theRed Sox.

Philadelphia had tried to acquire Halladay when the Blue Jays first put him on the trading block last July. But the two sides couldn’t work out a deal and the Phillies turned to Lee instead, getting him from theCleveland Indiansjust days before the July 31 trade deadline. Lee went on to star for the Phillies down the stretch, going 7-4 with a 3.39 ERA, and then 4-0 with a 1.56 ERA in the postseason, including victories in Philadelphia’s only two wins in the World Series.

Lee would be returning to the American League, where he won the 2008 Cy Young award. Halladay is also a former AL Cy Young winner, taking top honors in 2003 and finishing in the top five each of the past four seasons. Halladay went 17-10 with a 2.79 ERA in 2009, leading the American League with nine complete games and four shutouts.

The Yankee Parade

It just so happens that the office of research and developments for MetsBallers also happens to be where I have a real job. Right on Broadway in Downtown Manhattan. Just as luck would have it, this is exactly where the Yankees World Series Parade takes place.  I was lucky enough to squeeze in between some of the typical low lives who were enjoying the festivities to take some pictures with my shitty blackberry camera.

David Wright- One of Worst Fielders of 2009

large_shocker

Big fucking shocker, David Wright sucks in the field.  According to some fucking nerd, David Wright is the 8th worst fielder in all of the Major Leagues.

1. Michael Cuddyer, RF, -26
2. Bobby Abreu, RF, -25
3. Vernon Wells, CF, -19
4. Gary Matthews Jr., CF, -17
5. Alberto Callaspo, 2B, -16
6. Orlando Cabrera, SS, -16
7. Lastings Milledge, LF, -16
8. David Wright, 3B, -15
9. Carlos Lee, LF, -14
10. Miguel Tejada, SS, -14

According to HardBall Times, relative to position, and with the warning that these are imprecise ratings, not the final word, and that multi-year data, if available, must be used to determine who really is a good or bad fielder, preferably supplemented with scouting information. These ratings measure range and reliability only, and do not include an outfielder’s throwing or an infielder’s proficiency at the double play.

Huh? What? Well, no shit Sherlock, I could of guessed that without your fucking fancy fucking stats.  I had to fucking watch those games douchebag.

Strawberry Picks Charity for Celebrity Apprentice

Well, now we know why Darryl Strawberry is currently filming “Celebrity Apprentice,”. Darryl Strawberry reportedly owes fucking $554,000 in taxes.

Darryl Strawberry Celebrity Apprentice

Strawberry, whose most memorable Mets moment had to be, when he snorted the foul line from home plate to the right field wall in one shot, was in and out of jail 300 times in the last 10 years for solicitation and drug related incidents — says “them days are over for me.”

Asked which charity he will be playing for on Trumps show, Darryl said and I quote, “Man, who the fuck you think mothafucka? The motherfuckin Darryl Strawberry Tax Relief Fund, that’s who bitch!”

Trump had this to say…

Donald Trump Celebrity Apprentice

So question is… how quick does he get booted?
